Green Bio-Plastic Drinkers for Chickens. Available as 1.5 litres, 3.5 Litre or 6 Litre capacities.

Plastic – but not as we know it!! GO GREEN with our range of Bio-Plastic Poultry Drinkers and Feeders (or magic-sugar-drinkers as we call them!).

This range of Green Chicken Drinkers is made in Germany using a 100% natural, non-oil-based, material from sugar cane and beet. It is coloured with natural dyes. The material is as tough as plastic, and feels just like plastic, but is 100% recyclable and the CO2 absorbed during the plant growth is locked in.

The small chick drinker will hold up to 1.5 litres (2.5 pints) and is a standard twist lock dome drinker. Note: The Small 1.5L Chick Drinker has an option to add a tripod stand.

The 3.5 Litre Drinker is also a twist lock drinker for adult hens and comes with 4 push-fit legs. Spare sets of 4 legs are available for both 3.5L & 6L.

Fill the upturned white dome with water, twist-lock the base onto it, and then turn it the right way up so that the water trickles out into the saucer. The vacuum created in the water tank means the water level will always remain the same (just above the outlet hole) in the saucer. When the hens drink, it will replenish the saucer until it reaches the right level again.

The 6 Litre Drinker is a cylinder fountain drinker for up to 6 litres of drinking water. It comes with 4 push-fit legs to raise it off the ground, or, the handle is strong enough to hang the drinker if required.

Unlock the outer sleeve, fill the inner cylinder with water and quickly replace then twist to lock the outer sleeve.

Sugar Cane is a new alternative to oil-based polythene where a polymer is created from sugar-cane waste that is bio-based. Nowadays, it is more important for a material to be bio-based than bio-degradable. Bio-degradable plastics cannot be recycled so the fossil fuels within them are lost whereas bio-based products can be recycled and therefore any fossil fuels are reused.
