William Hackett has taken its extensive knowledge acquired in the supply of a specialist topside and subsea hoisting range to the offshore sector and translated this technology to a second generation range of William Hackett SS-C4 offshore chain hoists

SS-C4 design and specification features:-

• LIGHT LOAD CAPABILITY: The SS-C4 is tested and certified at 2% of the chain hoist rated capacity
• SAFETY LATCHES: The SS-C4 chain hoist top and bottom hooks are fitted with heavy duty cast steel latches.The latch and hook tips are integrated creating a strong and robust hook closure
• OVERLOAD INDICATOR MARKS: SS-C4 chain block top and bottom hooks have, as part of the hook forging, overload indicator marks either side of the hook throat
• HOOK HOUSING: The SS-C4 chain hoist top and bottom hook housings are secured with socket head cap screws/hex head bolts and nyloc insert locking nuts
• FLEETING/CROSS HAULING: The SS-C4 chain hoist has been independently tested and vertified (Test Report 2550-7615) for fleeting or cross hauling applications at angles up to 45° from the vertical without deration
• LOAD CHAIN: These chain blocks are fitted with load chain that fully complies with international standard BS EN818-7 Grade T (8)
• TEMPERATURE RANGE: -20°C to + 120°C
• PROOF TESTED: Every hoist is proof tested to 1.5 times the Working Load Limit
• CORROSION PROTECTION: All internal brake components and latch kits are corrosion protected and tested to 500hrs and salt spray testing according to ASTM B117 and ISO9227
• OPTIONAL EXTRA: The SS-C4 chain block can be fitted with an overload limiter and also hook adaptors to allow any Gr8 fixing to be fitted to the SS-C4 to suit varying applications
